How long has FSG existed?

FSG has been serving the community for over 100 years. It began in 1914 when community members rallied to help a family after a house fire.  Click here to read our story.

Is FSG a part of the Village?

While one of our offices is located in Village Hall, our organization is a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

How are you connected to Public Safety?

FSG has an ongoing partnership with Glencoe Public Safety to provide psychological support to families in crisis. If you are in crisis and need immediate help, please call 911.  You may also call our office at 847-835-5111 during regular office hours for support.

What is your relationship with the schools?

FSG has a collaborative partnership with District 35. With parent’s permission, our therapists who work with students in District 35 will speak with school social workers and teachers when necessary to help a child who might be struggling.  Additionally, our Glencoe Parent Connection program offers a We Need To Talk (WNTT) series of workshops and lectures that address the needs of Glencoe parents.  These talks often take place at the schools or involve school personnel. FSG also works collaboratively with New Trier High School to help students succeed.

How are you funded?

FSG is funded through a variety of sources including client fees, individual donations, special events, and government and private grants.  If you would like to make a donation, please click here.
