GPC hosts several types of parenting events within the Glencoe community:
- GPC We Need to Talk Community Discussions help parents engage and expand on parenting or social-emotional issues.
- GPC We Need to Talk Community Workshops offer expert presentations on a variety of parenting topics.
- GPC Monthly Parenting Groups are small groups of parents, generally with kids the same age and gender, who meet monthly with a professional facilitator.

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly: What Our Children are Using on Their Digital Devices – Our November 2015 program with Glencoe District 35 Technology Integration Specialists Amy Holaday and Erica Zuhr along with FSG Therapist/Program Director Kathy Livingston, LCSW held a great discussion about the apps and websites that our kids are using and shared ideas for setting healthy boundaries for various ages.
Kindergarten Readiness – Our March 2015 program with Dr. Catherine Wang, incoming Superintendent of Glencoe District 35 and Dr. Kelly Zonghetti, Principal of South School, and Kathy Livingston, LCSW, FSG Staff Therapist featured guidance and information on preparing your child for his or her first year at South School. A recording of the presentation and handouts on child development skills, family reading and parents supporting reading are available for those who were not able to attend.
