Parent-Powered Story

Established in 2008 by Family Service of Glencoe and the grassroots efforts of a group of Glencoe parents, GPC began as series of community discussions to bring parents together to learn from each other, as well as from experts.

GPC is operated by a parent-powered Auxiliary Committee of FSG. Events are run by a dedicated group of parent volunteers from the preschool, South, West and Central school communities. Each school team leads outreach efforts for their specific age group. GPC also has support from community partners including the District 35 Leadership and School Board, Glencoe PTO, Glencoe Youth Services (GYS), Glencoe Junior High Project (GJHP), and Family Action Network (FAN).
