A New Home for FSG’s Clinical Services.
The Kiki Farley Counseling Center
Our mission is to help individuals, families, and organizations thrive by providing social and mental health services to members of the Glencoe and surrounding communities.
Why a Counseling Center?
We have seen a steady rise in demand for counseling. We added clinicians, and we outgrew our former location. We simply didn’t have enough room to provide every client with a private, comfortable space for in-person sessions.
Our new center, which opened to begin seeing clients in Fall 2025, offers private offices for all full-time therapists and a dedicated play therapy room, better serving children and those who express themselves through play. This expansion will enable us to grow and strengthen community support. Your contribution to our capital campaign will make this possible.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to our Capital Campaign Naming Donors:

Play Therapy Room Naming Opportunity – $50,000
The Play Therapy Room at the Kiki Farley Counseling Center provides a dedicated, child-centered environment where healing, growth, and emotional expression can take place through play. Thoughtfully designed to be warm, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate, the room is equipped with therapeutic toys, creative arts materials, sensory tools, and other specialized resources that help children feel safe, supported, and understood.
Children do not always have the words to describe their feelings or experiences, but they often communicate powerfully through play. Play therapy is a clinically proven approach that uses the natural language of childhood to help children process emotions, navigate difficult experiences, develop healthy coping skills, and build resilience. Whether a child is facing anxiety, grief, trauma, family transitions, or other life challenges, play therapy offers a safe and effective path toward healing.
The Play Therapy Room is already seeing consistent use by younger clients, reflecting the growing need for specialized mental health services for children in our community. Through expressive modalities such as play, art, and sensory-based interventions, children can explore emotions, process trauma, strengthen self-regulation, and develop the skills needed to thrive.
A $50,000 naming gift will provide lasting support for this vital therapeutic space, ensuring that children and families have access to high-quality, evidence-based mental health care for years to come. Recognition will include prominent naming of the Play Therapy Room within the Kiki Farley Counseling Center, creating a meaningful legacy that reflects a commitment to the emotional well-being of children and families throughout our community.
Free Library Naming Opportunity – $25,000
The Free Library at the Kiki Farley Counseling Center reflects Family Service of Glencoe’s commitment to making mental health resources accessible to everyone. Located in our welcoming waiting room, this thoughtfully curated collection of wellness, therapeutic, and educational books serves clients of all ages, from young children and parents to teens, adults, and older adults.
The library features books addressing a wide range of topics, including mental health, caregiving, grief and loss, child development, anxiety, resilience, healthy relationships, and personal growth. Designed to extend support beyond the counseling session, the collection provides individuals and families with practical tools, insight, comfort, and encouragement as they navigate life’s challenges.
In keeping with our mission to reduce barriers to care, all books are offered free of charge. Visitors are encouraged to take any title that may benefit them or a loved one, ensuring that valuable information and support remain accessible regardless of financial circumstances.
A $25,000 naming gift will sustain and expand this important community resource, helping Family Service of Glencoe continually refresh and grow the collection to meet evolving needs. Recognition will include prominent naming of the Free Library within the Kiki Farley Counseling Center, creating a lasting legacy that promotes learning, wellness, and access to mental health resources for generations to come.
